It is possible to activate TimeSnapper on computers that are not connected to the internet.

In order to do that you must send us the exact name of your computer (Without the domain name. How to find computer name? [1])

We will send you back a special file: TimeSnapper.lic. This is a license file containing "proof of validation" for the machine name you sent us.

How to use this file to activate TimeSnapper (you only need to do this once):

  • Preferable: Make sure you have the latest version of TimeSnapper installed on your computer
  • Close TimeSnapper
  • Place the attached file in the same folder as the TimeSnapper.exe (normally "C:\Program Files\TimeSnapper")
  • Click the Windows "Start" button, and then "Run"
  • Paste in the exact following (including quotes):
  "C:\Program Files\TimeSnapper\TimeSnapper.exe" /lic
  • Click OK

If all goes well, then the application will start without showing the Trial screen. If something goes wrong, TimeSnapper will inform you with an error.

To verify that it has in fact been activated, it is possible to look into TimeSnapper log file (accessible from TimeSnapper > Tools > Advanced > View log). It should say "License activated!".
